ARGH I HATE YOU TECHNOLOGY
So finally Ashley found a way to upload your own ring tones to Samsung m510 phones. It works on EVERYONE else's in the world, except mine. It kind of figures. Now, there's a few reasons that it might not be working:
1) Because I am trying to put the file onto my phone via Canon camera. Now, I don't see how this could be a problem, but I can imagine Canon doing that as a protection/rights thing.
2) My mini sd card is screwed and I need to reformat it for it to work.

Now, the folder I need to put the file into IS on the phone itself, I checked for it, its there, with all my picture files in it. But when I plug my mini sd card thingy into my camera (like you can) that folder doesn't show up and the photos are just randomly there. Now, I realize I might have to buy the actual adapter to hook the mini sd card to my computer, but I don't want to buy it if I don't have to.

I know there's a few people that might be able to help me, do any of you know what could be wrong?

hmmph. i am totally confused as why the folder things aren't like that... and why you can't paste stuff onto the mini sd card. it's soooo freakin' weird. the only thing i can think of is to put all your pics on your computer (if you can??) and then format the card like you said... since that one post said that the folders should be there after you format it. but i dunno, man =( it's so totally bizarre...

I think its something to do with being connected to a Canon camera. I honestly think thats the thing. Because much like my ps2 stuff Canon could have something built into it to change the stance or whatever with that kind of stuff. So maybe it reacts a certain way so you cant do those kinds of things with it?

p.s. I just read a really old card from you and I started to cry. Good tears of course, but I still started crying! I had forgotten about that card!

maybe.. i just don't think that has anything to do with it, because you can put the memory card in your camera and it loads the photos... and i'm sure you could take a picture with your real camera while that memory card was in it. it connects and you can see the pics, and .... well, i don't know... you should be able to copy and paste stuff from the memory card, because i do that with my camera all the time. there must be a way to get a pic or some file onto the memory card, because otherwise it just makes no sense. blah. anyway.. :S :S

I have no idea either. But I can only guess because its Canon they have some superior thing going on. I know it should work, but it doesn't... and like we noticed last night the folder shows up on my phone, so I am just assuming thats its being connected to the Canon camera. Who knows though.

Geeze, I really do hate filling out online applications. I went to three places today that told me I need to apply online. Its really quite annoying and they all take so long!

yah i know what you mean... it totally might be, but it makes no sense that it would be. oy oy... lol the only way to test that theory is to try it on my computer when you're here next... or basically just try it with my camera, i mean =) if all else fails i think the data cable is only 20 bucks or something

ohh yah, they totally are... what places are you applying to online?

yeah definitley! I might need to get that cable thing, which it isn't too bad at all thats for sure. I've seen way worse.
